Tuesday

woke up at 0800. left my house at 0915 (school started at 10). yup, u must be wondering why i took so long to get ready for school. as usual, had my breakfast, bathed, and of course watched tv. that's why i took so long. supposed to meet sam at 0915, but i only left my house at that time. in the end, this guy here, didn't wait for me. nvm. wanted to meet jwen at little india. but when she called me, i was still in sengkang, and she was already at dhoby ghaut. eudora called me when my train was at kovan. timing was just nice. she took the same train. by 10, we were waiting at the bus stop. 5 mins late for lecture. got back our harmony test paper at the end of lecture. rite, i passed! 39 marks out of 50. ok lar, since it's my 1st test ever since i entered nafa. hey jwen, it's ok. try harder next time. the weightage of our tests is not that much. homework and assignments weigh more. k? don't get so disappointed. =>
anyway, went to suntec with jwen to meet my mum for lunch and shopping. took a cab down, the cab fare was 3 bucks. met mum at u2. u people reading this must be thinking why would i go shopping during my lunch break, somemore all the way to suntec's u2. well, mum had this coupon, where whatever item that's purchased from u2, there'll be a 50% off. and this offer lasted till 30 september. and i'm only free on tuesdays. bought 2 pants, a t-shirt and a jacket. had dim-sum for lunch. shing, i finally tried crystal jade's bo-luo bao (pineapple bun). it's very nice. anyway, took a cab back to school. this time, the cab fare was 4 bucks!!! the cab-driver went the longer way, and we had to alight at campus 1 instead of campus 3.
went to look for a studio since jwen wanted to practice. in the end, had to share a room with yong rui, since all the rooms were occupied. had music tech at 4. oh my!! eric watson gave us a score and we were told to put it into the sonar program. and the problem is, he didn't even show us how. so being computer dumb, i practically stared at the computer for an hour. yupz, when lesson time was up, i hadn't even started. and i'm supposed to hand it up by next week. i need help!!!
had to wait for yong rui's lesson to end at 6. we had to go down to music essentials to get that harmony book. it all happened weeks ago...
that tuesday, we were supposed to get this harmony reference book. so, we went to renner 1st. we were told, they needed 7 weeks to get the book imported to singapore. so we were thinking,'so long ar, y not try music essentials'. then, we made our way down to music essentials. they said they only needed 2 weeks. then, we asked for the price. it was $100. renner was selling it at $97. but since only $3 difference, and we could get the book earlier, y not? so the manager of music essentials ordered 2 books for us, that's the max they could give us. the other 2 we had to get it from renner, since there are 4 of us (joby, dora, jwen n me). 1, 2 weeks later, that manager called me, telling me the books were here. but, they cost $124 each. why so ex?!? coz they were AIR-FLOWN in!!! so of course, since it was so much more ex, might as well don't want. 1st they told me it's a 100 bucks, now they say it's $124. wth lor. told her i didn't want the book. she said, 'cannot'. then last week, mr yap (my harmony lecturer) told us,'those who ordered the reference books from music essentials, you have only 1 week to get them, if not richard adams will be told of what happened.' i was thinking,'what the hell lor!' just because she's nafa's alumni, mr yap's ex-student, she has to tell r.a. that nafa students ordered the books and don't want them anymore. n we only had 2 choices. one was to get people to buy the books. the second was to pay the deposit and forfeit it. who will be willing to buy a book that's $27 more expensive? in the end, yong rui and fhairil didn't mind buying the books. but, the excess $54 ($27+$27) was paid by the 4 of us. coz, it's like they were willing to buy the books, then if still make them pay the excess like so mean of us. so the 4 of us split the $54.
went down to music essentials at 6 to get the books. the girl there took so long to get the books we wanted. and her attitude, i cannot stand it. whatever it is, i'm not going down to that place to get anything!
anyway, went down to echizen for a while after that. guan wei n shawn were working. was told that echizen will close down on 8 october. so sad. came home for dinner, watched tv. read the email from dr kan. there's a workshop tmr. cannot wear mini-skirts, coz we might have to do some exercises. wonder what we'll be doing.
