slacked around with samuel, fhairil, and some others.
practiced a while, then came home after that.

got a lil mixed up with the scores and notes.
blabbered rubbish.
oh wells, we gotta redo our handout again.
to think i thought that was the last i'd see of lieder.

was late for sightsinging.
dr goh didn't seem too pleased.
did the mass.
goodness.
we sounded horrible.
couldn't get our pitch right.
another rehearsal on fri, 11am to 1pm.
which means, i'll have 5hrs straight of lessons, w/o any break.
UNLESS, darren sim decides to let us off earlier.
one last thing.
the drainage system outside nafa is horribly bad.
esp when it's pouring.
i tell u, we got kinda hysterical dodging the rain and the pools of water.
it got even worst when vehicles drove past.
and 2 huge construction trucks had to drive past one after another.
one lady had a whole puddle of dirty water splashed onto her.
the 3 of us just kept laughing non-stop. *muahaha*
when we finally got to the bus stop(across the road), we were all drenched.
waited kinda long for the bus.
so we saw people on the other side dodging from the water, like how we did.
and it was hilarious looking at them.
yes, we were like that too.
students-turned-grasshoppers.
super embarrassing.
had to get new footwear since mine was too wet.
watched 'click' for the second time.
still kinda sad towards the end.

today's lecture was rather simple.

since we practiced a lil yesterday,
we didn't sound too bad.
shopped around at raffles city, city link, suntec & marina with jwen & joby.
got the prezzies that i was looking for.
performance class was kinda sleepy for me.
the usual playings and comments after that.
the comments can get a tad too subjective.
giving comments that aren't exactly true and accurate.
plus not having the experience of playing pieces from a particular composer.
maybe u should think before u comment.
instead of blabbering out wadeva u want.
not very nice.
i'm just stating a general statement of wad i hear during perf class.
so oh wells, if u think it's u, then reflect =)
anyways, all 5 girls did a great job.
at least the sound projection was much better.
memory lapse are common, just not too much during exams. =))
dinner at rosette.
the food's much better this time.
and so's the service.
was on my way home when i saw this rather young couple.
still in their teens.
the girl was wearing such a mini skirt that it barely covered her midriff.
and the poor bf was trying hard to protect her from exposing herself.

so i had a super late night.
and i slept through 3-quarter of wed's platform.
how can i ever sleep through a band concert?
but i was super tired.
she reminded me of my prog notes this morning since i didn't give it to her yesterday.
thinking that it's the end of that portfolio,
she shattered my dream.
there's still the performance techniques to include.
which means visiting esplanade library and hunting through racks of scores.
arh yes.
i was super EARLY for lecture today.

that's the due date for our group presentation too.
harmony class was super cold today.
nope, not because of the air-con, but mr y*p's jokes.
he's super crappy.
nie was good today.
since we didn't have to sit in class for 2 whole hours.
a tour round the campus.
the library is great. better than the esplanade, i suppose.
they have this cd machine where u type in wadeva u want to find, then they'll locate it.
instead of having to browse for it through tons of cd racks.
so, smart jwen thought that the machine was a room, where u enter and listen to the cds u want.
HAHAHA. we laughed like mad when she said that.
the room's rather unique, in the sense it can really fit a person, just that the amount of space is used to fit tons of cds.
anyways, loads of stairs at nie.
and we saw the dress-code for trainee teachers.
it's practically no different from that of a sec sch student, just that we dun have to wear uniforms.
hurhur.
so strict.
no wonder those teachers with rather long history with moe are usually wearing clothes that cover them from head to toe.
was supposed to stay back at the library after nie class to do the programme notes.
but the temptation of being driven out was too great.
yanqiu drove us into nie and out.
such coincidence that she was going to sengkang.
haha. so how can i ever not grab hold of such a chance and stay back alone at the so-far-away nie?
had dinner with jwen at compass pt.
gosh. we had mos burger for both lunch and dinner!
slacked at starbucks.
the usual gossips and whatnot.
and here i am back home.

principal study was good.

but dr lim still managed to improve on my playing.

told dr kan that i'll submit on wed, since i re-did the whole thing.
so she asked me to at least email her something tonight.

kevin's cousin, douglas, then kong jo and his family came down from JB, then douglas from pp came as well.
the Sendai team led service today.
joel, the worship leader.
john preached sermon.
ben did communion reflections.
and of course crimson, she did a testimony.
interesting group of people. funny, great singers, and they hold their faith strongly.
admire their courage to leave their countries (mostly canadians), go to japan and work with the christians there.
it's like so wow.
another piece of news. kevin, kenneth and danny will be going to Chiang Mai next week for internship. (again! for kev & ken)
hurhur. i so miss the people there pls.
i wanna go back there again, away from all these stress, nonsense and everything.
maybe next year, during my 3-month break. =))
anyways, i'm still stuck at the doctor's work.

the traffic police finally got their chance of fining me, since they couldn't get me the other time! (remember, jwen?)
was crossing that traffic light at ps. yeah, it was still at the 'red man', but since there werent any vehicle, i just crossed with a whole bunch of other pedastrians.
who knows, 2 traffic police officers were waiting at the other side of the road for us.
goodness. for nothing i got fined 20 buck. plus i was with my family. WE beat the red light together! that's wad families are for! hurhur.
so dumb pls..
anyways, on a very much lighter note, i attended the singing workshop.
it was great singing with the sendai mission team people =))
had dinner with the youths after that.
danny drove the whole bunch of us there, so we didn't have to walk that long distance to novena. =))
the pp people joined us today as well.

haha.
the concert was great. they sounded better today.
maybe due to the surroundings =)
fellowship-ing after the concert.
they'll be at bedok coc tmr for service.
then it's back to japan for them =(

i was almost an hour late for brass studies today.
my sleep was disrupted in the middle of the night by a super painful cramp in my left leg.
couldn't get to sleep after that, so i overslept till 8.30am.
he wasn't too happy with us not practicing.
oops.
anyways, since we had a 5-hour break, jwen came over to my house.
instead of me sleeping, and her practicing, we ended up 'playing' with my collection of pooh bears and tigger, and of course watching 'my name is kim sam soon'
haha.
performance class these days are getting from bad to worse.
not in the standard of the pianists.
but the way they dress when they perform.
it's so not right, even though we're from the teaching course.
wearing board shorts, slippers, etc..
u're not performing at the beach pls.
at least have the basic respect of dressing up.
u dun have to turn up in tailored pants, fanciful blouses.
just at least a proper dress code.
alright, my perf today was totally screwed.
my pointed heels got in the way when i pedalled.
so i couldnt concentrate on playing.
messy notes, fluctuating rhythms, blah blah blah.
double darn.
got kinda pissed with it.
went over to geylang coc for the a capella concert.
the sendai mission team.
they sing very well. i like the way they harmonise, their sounds are rather full.
they're conducting a singing workshop from 4pm-6pm at moulmein coc, followed by a concert at 7pm.
i'm super zonked out now.

watched an interview video.
i can't remember wad we did for the rest of the lecture.
oh wells.
harmony tutorial was bad. we got back our test results.
i FAILED. all thx to the first qn. melodic decorations - 6 out of 30.
can u believe that? most of us got around that marks too.
how sickening. such a spoiler.
couldnt concentrate on doing the class work after that.
yohanna took over since karen wasn't there.
korean food and a wonderful dessert session with jwen, eudora, may, yanqiu, yeow yee, mark, christoven and weikang.
the dessert shop at liang seah street serves mostly hong kong desserts.
kudos to chris for bringing us there.
lunch was rather long. met fhairil at bugis, so we walked around abit.
till jwen n i needed to shit. (dun mind my language =p)
decided to use the restroom at the 3rd floor.
but within 5 mins, i was out of there. it was so warm and stuffy.
practiced awhile, then we went for tea.
essay seminar at 4.
got kinda pissed by the amount of work we had to do.
plus i kept going to the restroom.
there's sth wrong with me today.
an acute pain on the left side of my abdomen.
so uncomfortable throughout the lecture.
and we had to do some readings. the reading i got was totally irrevelant to wad we're supposed to answer.
we were out of the recital hall by 5.30pm. since the other group (3 of them) were already waiting for their lecture to start.
jwen went home first.
accompanied chris, mark and zhengyi for dinner at the chicken rice stall.
one mozzie chose to attack my toe. how awful!
today's a horrible day. i'm so mentally drained.

just practiced for perf class, hope that i wun screw it up, esp the parts where my fingers get stuck a tad too often.

an afternoon spent at n.i.e.
it's FAR, i tell u.
call me sua-ku or wadeva, today's the FIRST time, i travelled to the most-western side of our small island - boon lay.
yeap, then we cabbed in to nie.
and the uncle refused to send us to block 3.
dropped us off at block 7 instead.
dot and nat brought us to our class.
how nice of them =))
mr peter stead is a rather nice lecturer.
unless u dun show up for lesson.
nie's rather strict about attendance and punctuality.
visited dot and en's hostel after that.
a looooong walk.
the train ride from boon lay to bugis was long. but with dot, nat, en and jwen's company, it didnt seem too bad.

cell was awesome.
just a sharing session, but meaningful.
we were seated right in the middle of the grass patch at the esplanade.
the crowd already started at 5+pm.
had our dinner da-bao-ed.
and it was kinda dark.
plus the amount of people there.
gosh, all for the sake of the fireworks since tonight's the last night.
that so many flights of stairs at marina were packed.
the fireworks started at 9pm.
and the whole group of people sitting in front had to stand up.
darn.
we couldnt see the lower fireworks, which were so pretty.
yeah, why didnt we stand huh?
we got scolded while trying to stand.
oh wells, the higher ones were great too.
walked around after the thing ended.
yeah, for a 15-min thing, everyone arrived so early to 'chop' places.

the walk to the mrt was disastrous.

2 awful incidents happened to us today.

was about to cross that lane back to sch,

but i saw 2 of them staring at our direction.
haha, they just stared.
and we headed straight down to the traffic light.
no wonder, no one jay-walked.

then, we were walking down that alley.
this particular crow was flying in the same direction as we were walking.
for no reason, it went berserk and started flying towards us.
we ducked like we were attacked.

some driver was staring at us.
wondering who are these 2 siao girls.
it was scary i tell u.
it flew to us twice..
and we ran all the way back to school!

ever since school started, today's the craziest day for me.
which institution has got sports day?
only nafa.
haha. sounded cheesy and boring at first since last year's wasn't interesting at all.
but we still went anyway.
dear yan qiu was kind enough to drive us there.
though we almost got lost.
but nvm, with 2 girls who know how to drive, we finally got there.
jwen n i sat at the back looking at them flipping through the street directory.
so much for closing attendance taking at 9am!
they were still taking when we reached at 9.30am!
so the event kicked off with Inter-Department Flag Presentation Parade.
then the commencement of the telematches.
5 groups in total.
half way through the telematches, they needed another team.
so we formed one where the girls were of majority.
2 teams from the music department.
but, we won a few times, and got 2nd place a few times too.
volleyball, captain's ball...
some just sat in the tent watching the 'Beach Hunk and Babe Contest'
but in short, it was a day of fun.
short entry today, more tmr, detailed info and photos.
i cannot stand the burning sensation on my arms, neck and face!
plus waking up at 6am today, i need some sleep.

it's until today that i realise i'm in deep shit.

the chamber people have almost finished their group work, so which means they have the remaining days of the semester to complete their 10 portfolios.
but for the piano people (like me!), our project just started.
and i haven't even touched any of the portfolios yet.
plus the project and presentation, will i ever finish the portfolios?

history lecture was so-so.
but we were saved by the brass ppl.

sometimes, i really doubt the credibility of wadeva was told to me.

once again, i was 50 mins late for lesson.
alright, i know. it's not surprising.
haha.
but anyways, tcm was different.
we were grouped and had to play a piece.
but we had to transcribe it first.
it's difficult reading chinese scores pls!
to the extent, yikki and pheckchuan started improvising. haha. they played a small part from dvorak's work.
how dumb!
the class went mad.
haha. ms lim was laughing too.
yup, and for harmony, we'll only get our results after next week's study break.
it was kinda awkward during harmony.
oh wells, at times i have no idea why i do certain stuff.
yeah, and i feel bad after that. how ironic.

went for lunch with jwen, joby, fairul, mark, eewei, christoven and weikang.
accompanied fairul to get a cake.
oh yes, yesterday was samuel's birthday.
anyways, he had his cake at the lounge.
i almost got a heat stroke from walking under that scorching hot sun!

headed down to the esplanade to get part of dr kan's work done.
