a great sense of accomplishment =))
coz i did the work in less than an hour, and tadah! emailed to her by 6pm.
i went to school with the intention of not doing that assignment by today.
but the thought of having 15 marks deducted is damn heart-pain la.
mock exam was postponed due to time constraint.
a quick bite with sheena during her break before heading back to school at 5.
started working on that history assignment.
well at least one assignment's down.
a quick checklist:
- composition exam (28 march)
- harmony portfolio (1 march)
- concert band portfolio (2 march)
- history essay (6 march)
- nie lesson plans
- concert attendance portfolio (12 march)
- harmony exam (6 march)
- history viva exam (7 march)
- aural exam (8 march)

yeah, i just realised the exams are next week, NOT in 2 weeks' time.
all these work are enough to kill me man.
may those who are undergoing these, rest in peace with me.
how i dislike school now. yikes!

yay! i watched 4 movies this week!
and i enjoyed seducing mr perfect the most.
partly because daniel henney is simply shuai and the storyline's just my type.
protege was not too bad but the images were kinda too gory for me.
we were supposed to get down to work yesterday, but we couldn't find that lil bit of motivation.
so jwen and i headed down for protege.
and that day was terrible for me.
with those painful-like-goodness-knows-what pumps, i was yelling in pain every few minutes.
the blisters are still there and they hurt la.
movie, retail, and whatever therapies there are, i welcome them with wide open arms.
that always happens when the semester's ending.
work piles up like nobody's business,
all of a sudden the deadlines seem so near (like next week!?)
i've got a mock exam this monday and i've yet to practice coz it's CNY week.
there's that history assignment due on monday,
composition exam on wednesday,
harmony portfolio on thursday,
band work to be completed asap, the list just goes on...
harmony, history and aural exams are in 2 weeks' time and i'm still slacking everyday.
honestly, as what jwen said, GOD SAVE US!
my principal study exams on 28 march, which is 2 days after the 4-month hols start.
a great big gap of 3 weeks after the academic exams.
well, on a brighter side, more time to practice.
there's nie to attend till april 3rd.
how i wish everything will happen with a snap of my fingers.

i survived my da jiu's big dog yesterday.
i almost couldn't wait to leave his house la.
not that the dog's violent and goes round sniffing people
but she enjoys barking alot and the bark's so loud, i got a few shocks la.
lunched at my er jiu's place before continuing the day's visiting.
we visited like 4 more houses.
they were the parents' of my mummy's cell.
one family thought i was already a parent, probably coz i was carrying a lil girl, so there goes one angpao. hurhur.

these two lil kids just made my day la.
without them, i'd be so bored during the visits.
coz the adults just sit around and chat and i'm like the only youth there.
so looking after those kids were just great.
and aren't they adorable?
they attend the same kindergarten together and their school taught them to pray in chinese.
they prayed for us before dinner. damn cute la.
ah yes, on the first day of cny,
amidst rushing to get ready before leaving the house, aaron came in and said,
'eh jie, you know why you didn't get ang pao from mummy?'
then i remembered i only got one ang pao from daddy and none from mummy.
'coz you never go and bai nian to her. quick go, if not no angpao for you this year. don't say i say one ah'
haha. what a cute yet irritating brother i've got.
irritating at times la.
and yes boy, i know you're reading this now. =))
so anyways, every year my parents will end off with, 'study hard ah'.
but this year she ended hers with, 'get a boyfriend this year ok?'
daddy, who was in the room carried on with, 'yeah, a good one, girl'.
what can i say man. i just laughed it off and left the room.
i'm in need of a movie now. rather random eh.

not because of the ang-paos, but because i helped quite a bit in spring cleaning
since we moved in to sengkang 2 years ago, this is the first year i helped.
but my daddy and mummy think i'm hopeless at housework.
coz i can't get the laundry hung out without getting scolded for doing it the wrong way, have the floor mopped so wet, the list just goes on la.
but! i cleaned my room out, and cleared all the old stuffs.
that's quite a feat eh.
reunion was good. mummy didn't cook this year and we ate out.
since the restaurant goes by reservations, they had 3 batches, 5.30pm/7pm/8.30pm.
ours was the 5.30pm and when we reached, it seemed as if we were attending some chinese wedding dinner.
oh yeah, before dinner, i rushed around the pathetic shopping centre to get a pair of shoes.
since my mummy believes in having new things from head to toe every new year, it means i can buy lotsa stuff and not get nagged!
however, this year's damn suay.
i couldn't get my clothes, shoes, accessories, bags right.
everything was bought so last minute and on impulse.
wells, at least i managed to get most of the stuff i wanted.
anyways, today's nian chu yi or the first day of the lunar new year.
since it falls on a sunday, my parents decided we should go to church before visiting my maternal grandparents.
but we were all late for church and i was doing slides!
it's my fault that we were late la, i took my time to dress up and get ready (ultimately vain, i know)
service was short.
the adults went round giving the kids/those who've yet to tie the knot angpaos.
seeing them bustling around church after service is quite a funny sight.
i mean, it's only polite that the younger generation bai nian to the older ones.
but in my church, it seems like the other way round.
whatever it is, i love them =)) *not just for the angpaos ok*
then after church, the yearly routine repeats itself.
first to my maternal grandparents', then to my paternal grandma's and ending off with my third grandma.
well the first 2 grandparents are blood related, but the third's not.
she looked after me since i was a baby, thus the close relationship.
it was rather tiring to travel to so many places in one day la.
other than my maternal grandparents whom i meet almost every other week, the others are like a yearly thing, so it's ok.
the whole visitation ended in the evening then we headed to ps for a movie.
yeah, we watched just follow law.
i tell you, the storyline's ridiculous la.
but they do state those office politics and stuff, which are very true.
overall, a rather average show.
ah. i'm going to bed soon.
coz we've got more visiting to do since my mummy's the youngest in her family.
and the tradition's we gotta visit every sibline of hers.

and i vaguely remember the doctor telling me it's due to constipation.
yesterday's was kinda bad after eating dinner with jwen and vincent at the prata stall.
my tummy was bloated and i couldn't walk properly.
that nausea-and-wanting-to-shit-but-nothing-came-out feeling just sucks.
and now it's hurting while i'm typing this out.
i only had 4 hours of sleep today.
was practically dragging myself to school for ps.
ps went well, probably due to him being in a good mood perhaps.
harmony tutorial didn't go well.
or should i say, i got kinda pissed off by the project and things that've been happening recently.
yeah, i'm quick-and-hot-tempered and i'll show the i'm-pissed face.
but it's just a project kinda thing, when views differ, etc.
bound to occur, isn't it.
project aside, i don't think it should affect any relationships and thus no hard feelings.
i'm glad it's over now.
the 4-hour long break in between was just about slacking in the duet room
and the usual cup-noodles session with jwen at the student lounge.
history was rather lengthy and i couldn't concentrate.
i blurted, 'shit!' when i was asked to answer a qn.
what great timing eh.
dinner with jwen joby and zhengyi at the prata stall.
we continued all the rantings over dinner.
is it because exams and duedates are nearing, thus the stress and the irritable feeling?
i just feel like giving that person a punch la.
can't u keep ur comments to yourself and not irritate the others
it's so sickening to hear nothing but discouraging comments out of that mouth of yours! hurhur!
i got so pissed on tuesday, yesterday and today just over one person.
yeah, i know, i've gotta learn to curb that temper of mine.
i MUST stop being so quick to anger.
on a lighter note, i'm gonna watch a movie tmr!
after all that projects and stress, i can finally relax for a bit.
once the cny break is over, there comes the other stress - exams.
never mind, i've got that internship to look forward to!
muahahs. the schedule came in the mail yesterday. yay!
i sincerely wish the 4 months of hols will just start with a twinkle of the eye.

happy valentine's day to all you darling friends =))
choc-shopping yesterday with jwen.
bought so many chocs, had to wrap them and write cards,
that explains yesterday's missing entry.
so the group of us were valentinas today, busy giving out chocs and cards
i think it's damn sweet to receive something on v'dae (u don't have to be attached to receive something right?)
so anyways, i received a lot too.
chocs, cards, hearts, flowers, jellies, marshmellows, gummies, i just love them all!
just got home from the piano concerto concert.
i think the pieces were rather good.
the conducting (not conductor) was damn cute la.
i can't think of what else to blog
i'm so sleepy and i've got ps at 9 in the morning tmr!
how great, eh?

the cambodia trip's totally off for me, since it's exam period.

anyways, i just came home from church.
had lunch with my family @ jack's place
and i shopped with them for new year goodies.
oh, i just love festive goodies, be it christmas, cny, lantern festival, etc.
they taste so authentic (?) haha!
ok i'd better get down to harmony project now.

but i tell you, i can't compose for nuts.
the most i can do is, anyhow 'bom' the notes out on sibelius and when it sounds ok, voila! i'm happy with it. =))
but dr goh wasn't happy with what i gave him last week.
so i've gotta get a melody line out.
i've been having late nights for the past few days and it is wearing me out.
rehearsals, staying back to get work done, etc.
last night's concert was good.
yeah, and all that talk about that korean-lookalike.
haha, didn't turn out that well afterall.
for the past few days, gossips have been coming up one after another.
seems like a trend has been set and the fetish doesn't stop there.
probably because valentine's day is coming?
it just gets hilarious when more people start talking about it.
i've been procrastinating a lot recently.
due to banging my head a tad too often, maybe?
haha. i'm serious, i seem to hit my head against stuff quite frequently.
i was taking a cab one day, and as i was about to get out of the cab, i hit my head real hard against the 'ceiling' (where the door closes).
some guy who was passing by started to laugh to himself.
evil la. i knock my head and u laugh.
tsk. i think the taxi driver wanted to laugh too.
oh wells, come to think of it, who will be as dumb as me to knock herself in that manner.
just the other day when jwen and i went for the rachmaninoff concert,
we were looking at some stuff in the shop at esplanade.
then i bent down coz something caught my attention.
and before i knew it, i banged my head (once again) against this rack that was right above me.
the impact was so great, the shop lady got a shock la.
i wanted to just vanish on the spot can.
that part of my head was bruised for 2 days.
and when i packed my cupboards over the weekends, i hit my head again.
i forgot that i left the cupboard door opened, and BAM my head got smacked.
will hitting one's head result in failure of the eyes?
that's what tv shows say, don't they.
oh wells, tmr's the last school day of this long week.
and yeah, harmony presentation's next week.
God, please let that 4-months-long holiday start NOW.

so much that i'm gonna start analysing on every single composer, blah blah blah.

school's driving me real mad.

i can't wait for tmr to end.
then goodbye to that essay project.
stayed in school till 7+ with jwen to finish and tighten that essay.
it's tedious work doing that essay.
i just loathe writing essays, but apparently we'll have more of that to come during those nie days.
nafa's concert, this wednesday.
wind band, chorus, percussion ensemble, etc.
rehearsal tmr night and on wednesday afternoon.
oh and there's nie tmr.
shiat. means more travelling up and down.
my entry doesn't seem to make much sense.
it's so not coordinated, but it is not an essay.
ok whatever, i'm blabbering nonsense.
just need somewhere to rant everything out

it's been a looooooong wait, and now it's finally the weekends.
but these 2 days are gonna be wasted once again.
coz i've gotta get those history stuffs read and compiled into an essay.
there goes the long awaited weekends.
i have zero motivation to wake up during the weekdays,
let alone drag myself to school.
what a lifeless life.
anyways, just got home from the rachmaninoff 2 concert.
the pieces were great la
especially rach's piano concerto and brahms symphony 4.
but our seats were the last row of circle 3, that's how high up they were.
we started taking photos (of ourselves) during the intermission
but the security girl came over and told us, 'no photography allowed'
then shixuan started taking photos too, and she came over again and said the same thing.
when she left, she kept
i'm not exaggerating, i tell you.
but it was hilarious, the way she stared at shixuan.
so we started laughing and she continued to glare.
HAHA.
ok whatever, i waited for my dad a whole 45 mins long.
rahs. i'm tired, i'll go sleep now and forget about the horrible saturday i'm gonna have.
