courage is fear that has said it's prayers

i feel rather accomplished this cny.
not because of the ang-paos, but because i helped quite a bit in spring cleaning
since we moved in to sengkang 2 years ago, this is the first year i helped.
but my daddy and mummy think i'm hopeless at housework.
coz i can't get the laundry hung out without getting scolded for doing it the wrong way, have the floor mopped so wet, the list just goes on la.
but! i cleaned my room out, and cleared all the old stuffs.
that's quite a feat eh.

reunion was good. mummy didn't cook this year and we ate out.
since the restaurant goes by reservations, they had 3 batches, 5.30pm/7pm/8.30pm.
ours was the 5.30pm and when we reached, it seemed as if we were attending some chinese wedding dinner.
oh yeah, before dinner, i rushed around the pathetic shopping centre to get a pair of shoes.
since my mummy believes in having new things from head to toe every new year, it means i can buy lotsa stuff and not get nagged!
however, this year's damn suay.
i couldn't get my clothes, shoes, accessories, bags right.
everything was bought so last minute and on impulse.
wells, at least i managed to get most of the stuff i wanted.

anyways, today's nian chu yi or the first day of the lunar new year.
since it falls on a sunday, my parents decided we should go to church before visiting my maternal grandparents.
but we were all late for church and i was doing slides!
it's my fault that we were late la, i took my time to dress up and get ready (ultimately vain, i know)
service was short.
the adults went round giving the kids/those who've yet to tie the knot angpaos.
seeing them bustling around church after service is quite a funny sight.
i mean, it's only polite that the younger generation bai nian to the older ones.
but in my church, it seems like the other way round.
whatever it is, i love them =)) *not just for the angpaos ok*

then after church, the yearly routine repeats itself.
first to my maternal grandparents', then to my paternal grandma's and ending off with my third grandma.
well the first 2 grandparents are blood related, but the third's not.
she looked after me since i was a baby, thus the close relationship.
it was rather tiring to travel to so many places in one day la.
other than my maternal grandparents whom i meet almost every other week, the others are like a yearly thing, so it's ok.

the whole visitation ended in the evening then we headed to ps for a movie.
yeah, we watched just follow law.
i tell you, the storyline's ridiculous la.
but they do state those office politics and stuff, which are very true.
overall, a rather average show.

ah. i'm going to bed soon.
coz we've got more visiting to do since my mummy's the youngest in her family.
and the tradition's we gotta visit every sibline of hers.
