We had devotion at eight thirty in the morning and Andris did the song leading. The people sharing for devotion today were Kenneth and Sheena. Sheena went through Chapter 5 and Kenneth went through chapter 7 of the gospel of Mark.
Went for breakfast at an eatery beside the Christian zone and after breakfast we took a walk to Payap university campus where Uncle Robert had Candice, Kevin, Daniel, Keith and Kenneth to do a role play each. The roles included a girl from a broken family wanting to commit suicide, a violent angry guy who feels hatred for the people in the church youth who had voted him out of the committee, an atheist, and a person who now stops going to church and finally someone who doesn’t really believe much in Christianity and doubts its credibility. Each group had to come out with answers on how to persuade them out of it. After that, everyone was given individual quiet time alone to reflect and think about what they have just learnt.
We went to the University campus canteen after that and the group was split into pairs. Each pair had to go into the canteen and talk to the students there, inviting them to the Christian zone on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon to join in fun-filled activities organized by the people from the Christian Zone. With God’s grace, many of us managed to convince the students there to come and took down their phone numbers. After that, we had a sharing session whereby everyone shared their feelings and thoughts about the devotion by Uncle Robert and the invitation to the Thai university students to the Christians.
We went to McKaen Island where lepers lived and performed songs and talked to them. It was a positive life-changing experience as many of us were astounded by the faith of the people there and the language barrier could not stop us from exchanging encouragements with each other. Many of us realized how blessed we were.
We headed to the night market with the interns after the trip to Mckaen Island and shopped there. Most of us went for the Thai foot massage with the exception of Kevin, Candice and Nicholas (he went rock-climbing).
After that we headed back to the Christian Zone where we had a debrief on the McKean hospital visit and then went to rest for the day.
